Brooke Shields records at Video Box

In her new book, Brooke will share her experience as a new mother. Following the birth of her daughter, she fell into a deep and troubling depression that lasted months. She'll discuss how it affected her family, friends, marriage and daughter, as well as her self-image.
In recovering from the depression, she found that many new parents, male and female, biological and adoptive, suffer from this same depression. Brooke will use her own experience as a catalyst to show that it's not unusual and the best way to combat it is to recognize early signs and to seek the various methods of help.
"By sharing my experience," Brooke Shields said, "I hope to shed light on a real, yet often hidden or ignored problem that affects women of all walks of life in varying degrees. I also hope that by being honest about the fear, shock, and shame I felt, it will help others avoid the pitfall of post-partum depression and open up a community of support."

Video Box Studios, run by Justin Hixon and Jeff Hixon, recorded David Mamet's Glengarry Glen Ross for radio broadcast with Jarvis & Ayres Production. The play follows the cutthroat world of real estate where salesmen are vying for the best leads to make the biggest sales. The play was originally produced on Broadway in 1984. The drama earned Mamet the Pulitzer Prize and Best Play Tony Award nomination that year and was later adapted by the scribe for the 1992 film starring Al Pacino, Kevin Spacey and Alec Baldwin. This recording is the first time Mamet gave permission to broadcast his famous two act play.
Among the Cast who graced Video Box Studios was, Alfred Molina (Dr. Octopus, Spiderman 2), Hector Elizondo (Dr. Phillip Watters, Chicago Hope), Bruce Davison (Senator Kelly, X-Men 1&2), and Stacey Keach (Ken Titus, Fox's Titus).
The Entire play was recorded in one weekend, in three slam sessions. A collected Jeff Hixon declares, "Well we've done so many of these, that it is like second nature." The Stage was Studio C used for it's spaciousness and the recording room was Studio F were it was mixed as well. Mixing took another two weeks to complete on Protools with the sophisticated talents of Derek Lipman.
